Rock your socks tomorrow!
Central's Student Council is encouraging the whole school to participate in Lots of Socks! for World Down Syndrome Day on Thursday, March 21st. The Lots Of Socks campaign exists to raise awareness about Down syndrome. Believe it or not, socks help us to get people talking. All you need to do is choose some socks that are going to get noticed - they might be mismatched socks or your wildest and most colorful socks, whatever takes your fancy! If someone asks you about your socks you can tell them, "I'm wearing them to raise awareness of Down syndrome". All students can help advocate for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome by joining the Lots Of Socks campaign and wearing their socks with pride on 21 March.
A HUGE thank you to author, Aaron Reynolds, for inspiring and entertaining our students last Wednesday! Ask your student what their favorite part was and enjoy reading your signed books!
